Why does language matter when you study in Hungary?

Studying in Hungary in English often means mixed-language material. The lectures are in English, but a handout, a reading, a lab guide or a classmate's notes may be in Hungarian, and the vocabulary around you is a mix of both. You end up spending time just working out what a document says before you can start learning from it.

How does it work for mixed-language courses?

Set your language to English. You choose it when you sign up, and you can change it on your profile page. It sets the language of the interface and of everything the AI writes.
Upload your material, in either language. PDF, PPTX or DOCX, up to your plan's file size limit. On a paid plan, photos and scans of notes too, with their text transcribed in its original language.
Start with an English summary. On the AI Actions tab, Summarize gives you a structured overview of the document in English, even if it is in Hungarian. Treat it as a guide to the original, not as a translation. See the PDF summarizer.

Ask what you do not understand. The document chat answers in English and shows which page or slide of the document the answer is based on, so you can find the passage in the original.

What does the exam period vocabulary mean?

If you are new to Hungarian universities, a few terms come up all the time. A ZH (zárthelyi dolgozat) is a written test during the semester. A kollokvium is an exam at the end of the semester. Your course requirements say which ones a course has. KognitiMind does not know your requirements; it helps you prepare from the material you upload for whichever of these you face. What happens to your documents?

Your documents are visible only in your own account. To generate content, the relevant parts of the text are sent to the Google Gemini API. Deleting a document deletes the file and the flashcards, quizzes and chat made from it.

What it is not good for, and what to watch

It is not connected to your university. It has no link to Neptun or any other university system, and it does not know your courses, your exam dates or your requirements. It works only from the files you upload.
It is not a translator. An English summary of a Hungarian document is a summary, not a translation. Terms can be rendered differently from how your lecturer uses them, so look up anything important in the original.
One language setting covers both the app and the AI. If you want the generated content in Hungarian, the interface switches to Hungarian too. Flashcards, quizzes and chat made earlier stay in the language they were made in; a summary is rewritten in the new language the next time you ask for it, which uses credits again.
The terms of service and the privacy notice are in Hungarian only. The Hungarian version is the binding one.
AI can be wrong. Summaries, flashcards and quiz questions can contain mistakes. Check them against your course material.

Can I upload English or Hungarian material?

Yes, both. Upload PDF, PPTX or DOCX files in either language, and on a paid plan photos and scans too. Text in images is transcribed in the language it was written in.

What language is the AI output in?

Your account language, English or Hungarian, whatever language the document is in. Summaries, flashcards, quizzes, concept explanations and chat answers all follow it. You choose it when you sign up and can change it on your profile page.

Is the interface in English?

Yes, the whole app is available in English. The same setting decides the language of the AI-generated content, so with an English interface you get English study material.

How much does it cost in HUF?

The free plan costs 0 HUF and needs no card. Student Pro is 1990 HUF a month and Student Pro Max 3490 HUF a month. Prices are VAT-exempt (AAM), and subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time.

Does it work for ZH and kollokvium prep?

Yes, if you upload the material for them. A ZH is a written test during the semester and a kollokvium an exam at the end of it. For both you build summaries, flashcards and quizzes from your own slides and notes.

Is it tied to my university?

No. It is an independent study app, not a university service, and it has no connection to Neptun or any other university system. It works with whatever material you upload, from any course.
